Alternative Transportation Plans

HHF has prepared a wide range of bicycle and pedestrian plans for island communities and is deeply committed to promoting alternative modes of transportation to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and foster more sustainable and healthy communities.  HHF is also involved in planning for the City’s new rail stations and associated neighborhood redevelopment opportunities at several sites along the 20 mile rail corridor.  Its recently published O‘ahu Bike Plan focused on connecting the planned 21 rail stations into the regional bikeway network as well as providing bicycle parking standards to ensure the new rail system is bike -friendly. HHF’s plans typically involve a significant level of community consultation, technical analysis, and application of best practices.
