Robyn Sweesy, ASLA, LEED AP
Associate Principal
Years Experience: 33
For Robyn Sweesy, an HHF team member since 2004, there’s no place like home mixed with international experience. Locations for her landscape architecture and planning projects include Hawaiʻi (her birth place), Guam, Japan, China, Bali, Malaysia, and Massachusetts, and project types include complex feasibility studies, large- and small-scale master plans, historic preservation documentation, and trail and landscape design. Robyn welcomes the challenge to learn about new places, work at different scales, and acquire new expertise. To each project, she applies perceptive analytical skills, excellent written and graphic communication abilities, and attention to detail.
Robyn’s joy of hiking and working on Boston’s Freedom Trail Revitalization evolved into planning nature trails for Kapalua, Maui and Kawainui-Hāmākua Complex on Oʻahu, urban trails for Hilo’s bayfront, and interpretive trails for Ford Island and Fort Kamehameha cultural landscapes. She is grateful to have had the opportunity to design the Waikoloa Bowl, a major outdoor entertainment venue on Hawai‘i Island (ASLA Hawaii Chapter Merit Award, 2009), and to be contributing to the quality of life for U.S. military personnel.
