Oliver Gaskell, AICP Candidate

Planner

Years Experience: 2

Oliver Gaskell is a planner and systems thinker who supports positive, equitable change in communities through community engagement, effective communication, and data analysis. He has experience working with communities on planning projects in Oregon, California, and Colorado. Having recently moved to Hawaiʻi, he is excited to support sustainable and equitable planning projects in Hawaiʻi and across the Pacific.

Oliver has professional experience working with a variety of clients including federal, state, and local government, private developers, nonprofits, and the business community. He has experience leading and contributing to state level resilience projects. In Oregon, he led a project to develop an economic resilience training program for the State of Oregon, and in Colorado he contributed to the 2020 update of the Colorado Resiliency Framework. In California, Oliver used his personal experience as a daily bike commuter and his knowledge of GIS to work with communities across the state on multimodal transportation planning projects including First/Last Mile planning and visioning for Bus Rapid Transit.

When he’s not at work you can find Oliver outside biking, hiking, or playing in the ocean, sipping on an overpriced coffee, or continuing his quest to find the perfect slice of pizza.
