Dayea Shim

Planner

Dayea gained experience in community outreach while working on various projects in Honolulu. She assists planning projects with research, data collection and analysis, report writing, and community outreach.  Dayea previously worked as a graduate research assistant at UH Mānoa, where she published a report on Building Capacity for Climate Adaptation to better understand the impacts of sea level rise and coastal flooding, as well as to identify concerns and adaptation priorities from a practical standpoint in a local context on the island of O’ahu. Her motivation is to make our cities more resilient and sustainable for future generations. 

Dayea spends her free time making YouTube videos and Instagram reels about Hawai‘i and digital nomads.
