University of Hawai‘i Community Colleges
The Leeward Community College Long Range Development Plan is a comprehensive plan that guides physical development based on the College’s academic needs and objectives. The planning process included a series of campus workshops (including a collaborative mural) and stakeholder interviews which, in turn, built a vision for future campus programming and facility requirements. The Ultimate Campus Plan provides the roadmap for a campus facelift, including a complete redesign of the campus frontage that integrates a mix of needs—classrooms, study spaces, outdoor gathering areas, retail, and housing—with a focus on increasing social engagement across the campus community. Simultaneously, HHF completed a long-range planning process with the College’s Wai‘anae campus, which proudly serves the Leeward Coast community with a range of credit and non-credit college programs.
