Primary Urban Center Development Plan

Helber Hastert & Fee Planners is presently completing the Public Review Draft of the Primary Urban Center Development Plan Update (PUC DP). Working collaboratively with City and State government agencies, community organizations and individuals, Helber Hastert & Fee developed a plan that concentrates growth in two areas identified as the Heart of Honolulu and the Heart of Pearl Harbor. The plan promotes the development of urban villages and town centers where people can live, work and play without traveling long distances to do so. It recognizes the importance of integrating land use and transportation, and emphasizes sustainable and appropriate alternative urban travel modes such as transit, walking and bicycling to support higher density mixed use commercial and residential areas in the urban core.
