Helber Hastert & Fee proudly offers multidisciplinary services in planning, landscape architecture, historic preservation, GIS and cartography, and graphic design. We customize our services to meet the precise needs of our clients’ planning and development projects.

Since its founding in 1980, HHF has provided services for projects locally and globally, from our home base in Honolulu, to the neighboring Hawaiian Islands, and across five continents.

We have guided projects from their earliest site analysis and feasibility planning to their completion as built environments, working alongside professionals in the design, engineering, marketing, environmental, economic, social, cultural, and legal fields.

Since the beginning, we have incorporated the latest planning principles and technology and the highest standards of professional practice in our work. Our commitment to sustainability has also been a constant, not a trend.

One of the best representatives of our fully integrated services is Kapalawai Resort, a 160-acre former private estate held by a kamaaina family on Kauai, for which HHF provided:

  • Planning Services: HHF's scope of work included master planning, site planning, environmental planning, and land use entitlements.
  • Landscape Architecture Services: HHF prepared the conceptual landscape plan and landscape guidelines that were used for state and county permit requirements and provided preconstruction consultation.
  • Historic Preservation Services: HHF researched and wrote a rural historic landscape assessment to inventory and assess the historic features of the estate and document its agricultural rural landscape.
  • GIS and Cartography Services: Project plans were based on highly accurate information provided by HHF GIS and cartography personnel.
  • Graphic Design Services: The Assessment of the Rural Historic Landscape report and EIS documentation reports were designed by HHF graphic designers.
