Milton Arakawa has 40 years of professional planning experience in Hawai‘i. He has wide-ranging expertise in environmental planning, land use planning, community planning, multimodal transportation planning, and land use entitlements.

Mr. Arakawa has worked for various State and County agencies as well as for private-sector A/E/C firms in Hawai‘i. His roles have included serving as Chief Planner for Hawai‘i Community Development Authority and a decade of service to the County of Maui as Deputy Director and Director for the Department of Public Works. His responsibilities have ranged from managing multiple county divisions, to project-level management; planning and Federal, State, and County permitting on public and private projects throughout the State.
