Associate/Senior Planner

Martha SpenglerMartha Spengler joined Helber Hastert & Fee in 2005. She has 18 years of professional experience in environmental investigations including environmental assessments (EAs), environmental impact statements (EISs), environmental baseline surveys (EBSs), soil and groundwater investigations for Resource Conservation Recovery Act (RCRA) and Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act (CERCLA) compliance in Hawaii and the Pacific Rim.

Prior to joining HHF, Ms. Spengler was a Senior Geologist with Environet Hawaii, where she was the project manager for a Naval Facilities Engineering Command Pacific environmental engineering services contract to provide EBS services for Navy installations in Hawaii and Korea. She also provided project support and management for other Navy and U.S. Army Corps of Engineers task orders. Ms. Spengler has also worked as senior geologist and project manager for the Honolulu offices of the URS Corporation, Kimura International Inc., and Brewer Environmental Industries.

Ms. Spengler received a Bachelor of Science degree in geology with honors from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and was awarded the Master of Science degree in geology and geophysics from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. Ms. Spengler is a Registered Environmental Assessor and a member of the Hawaii Chapter of the American Planning Association. She also is an active volunteer for the Kailua American Youth Soccer Organization.
