Rob James joined Helber Hastert & Fee in 2003. His current responsibilities include designing and building custom GIS and cartographic products to support the analysis and communication of the firm’s planning activities.
Mr. James was born in Honolulu and attended Wittenberg University in Springfield, Ohio, where he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. He has also received a Master of Arts degree in Geography from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. He has worked as a professional cartographer since 2002 and was awarded the National Geographic Award in Cartography for his cartographic visualization of the Battle of Nuuanu in 2003.
Prior to joining HHF, Mr. James worked as a GIS specialist with Clayton Group Services and as a free-lance cartographer. He currently is a member of the North American Cartographic Information Society and the Hawaii Geographical Information Coordinating Council.
