Since joining Helber, Hastert & Fee in 2010, Tara DePonte has been deeply involved in the Honolulu Community College’s Long Range Development Plan and Plan Review Use permitting process. She has also contributed to other planning projects and supported the development of several qualification packages. With a previous employer, Ms. DePonte assisted with landscape architecture projects in Hawaii and Asia and to the Pearl of the Gulf in Doha, Qatar. Her strengths include design, community involvement, and client coordination.
Born and raised in Windward Oahu, Ms. DePonte has had a lifelong interest in Hawaii’s unique landscape history. After graduating from Kamehameha Schools, she obtained her Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from the University of Oregon in 2004. Academic trips abroad have provided Ms. DePonte the opportunity to study the cultural landscapes of New Zealand and Japan.
